Founded at the turn of the millennium, ecoPayz established itself as an e-wallet provider offering instant, safe and convenient payment services to customers and businesses around the world. At the time, paying online was still in its infancy with people using mostly their credit/debit cards for purchasing goods and services on the internet, which required them to disclose their card numbers to the merchants. The Virtual MasterCard allowed customers to pay online at merchants who did not offer Payz as a payment method, thus further increasing the possibilities to use the PayzAccount. The last to be added, the ecoVoucher, is a virtual prepaid card with an 18-digit number that can be bought at fixed denominations and can be used for any online purchases where neither card nor the usual Payz payments are accepted.
Account registration is simple and straightforward. You start with a classic account which allows you transfers of up to 2,500 EUR to merchants. Verifying your identity and address will elevate you to Silver level and open the entire Payz spectrum of services including transfers to friends, back to your bank account and much more. Heavy users can progress to Gold, Platinum and VIP levels with increasing benefits, higher limits and lower fees.
