Gargoyle Infinity Reels is a video slot with a default 3×3 game window. Using the proprietary ReelPlay engine, more reels are added to the right as long as more winning symbols or scatter land on the last one. Wins are paid from left to right when the matching symbol count is 3 or greater with at least one or in combination with a wild on the first three reels (more to that shortly). You can face the Gargoyle King on desktop, tablet or mobile from 0.25 to 10 credits per spin. The game has high volatility with an RTP of 95.76%.

Loading the game will open the view of a medieval village from inside the mysterious tower. Candles and torches on both sides cast an eerie light onto the scene which is further emphasized by intermittent lightning strikes and sun rays protruding through the billowing clouds. A cast frame adorned by carved gargoyles stands tall in the centre with symbols cast on stone blocks dropping from the top into view. A harrowing soundtrack adds to the eerie atmosphere with distinct thumps being heard when matching symbols land and new reels appear to the right.

The pay symbols start at the low end with golden card royals, each holding a differently coloured gem – green on clubs, blue on diamonds, pink on hearts and purple on spades – awarding across the board 0.2x your bet for the base 3-of-a-kind. They are followed by four Gargoyle statues in blue, purple, red and green colours. Base payouts for a 3-of-a-kind range from 0.6x to 2x your stake. With Boomerang Studios being a close collaborator of ReelPlay, it comes as no surprise to see them integrating the Infinity Reels game engine into their slot creations. The concept of adding reels ad infinitum so to speak has proven to be very popular in the casino community which is reason enough for a closer look what Boomerang has included in the gameplay for their Infinity Reels debut.

At the centre of attention, we still have the Infinity Reels mechanic, which will add reels on the right of the game window on winning spins, no limits, although with a slight alteration on how wins are evaluated. All spins start with three reels as default with the aim to hit minimum three matching symbols with at least one on each of the first three reels or alternatively two diamond scatters anywhere in view. Once that happens, the game will add a reel with new blocks to the right. All current reels will be held and the new one spins once to potentially land more matching symbols or scatters. The process continues until none of the two appears on the next reel.

The win evaluation is slightly different to other Infinity Reels slots. The base is the payout for a single 3-of-a-kind. Every matching symbol that appears then on the subsequent reels will award the same base pay again. In our screenshot above with had a total of 6 hearts on 4 ways for a pay worth 3.2x bet or 8.00 credits.

The payout is calculated as the value for a 3OAK hearts = 0.2x bet or 0.50 credits plus three additional hearts for a total of 6 symbols. Each extra heart pays the same base win again, equaling 3x 0.2x your bet = 0.6x. Adding the two together 0.2x and 0.6x gives us the single way win of 0.8x bet. Since we had four ways, the total win is then 4 x 0.8 = 3.2x bet.

Any Portal Stone scatter appearing in a spin sequence will be collected in a separate small display to the right (desktop). Accumulating three or more will trigger 10 Infinity Free Spins plus pay a coin win that starts at 1x bet for three and adds the same amount for each further scatter, e.g. four scatter will pay 1x for three + 1x for fourth scatter = 2x bet. The free spins can be retriggered with the same combinations.

The Gargoyle King wild takes centre stage during the feature, gradually unlocking the padlocks on the left side (desktop), which in turn will activate the Enhanced Ways modifier. More wild symbols are added to the reels throughout the feature to give you a higher chance of triggering the extras. Every Gargoyle King wild landing on a free spin will unlock one padlock and add one extra symbol to the following reel. Unlocking all three padlocks will increase the height to the maximum of six symbols. All subsequent reels added in the same spin sequence will then always have the maximum height.
