The name Cayetano may not sound familiar but rest assured they are a powerhouse for online slots with a catalogue exceeding 100 titles. Founded in 2009 in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, the game studio excels not just with video and classic slots but also offers a full backend platform which allows the casino operator to control all financial operations within the games as well as providing automated analysis systems. This sounded and looked so enticing, that in 2011 UK-based industry giant Paddy Power acquired the entire company as an internal software developer and in-house game producer.
Ever since their foundation, a dedicated team of designers and software specialists created a solid portfolio of online slots, while focusing on the availability across all desktop and mobile devices across all OS platforms. The takeover by Paddy Power catapulted the then rather small studio into the spotlight in the iGaming world. This resulted in a broader games portfolio as Cayetano started developing FOBT machines, in full Fixed Odds Betting Terminal, which are extremely popular especially in UK betting shops and amusement arcades. In 2016, they transitioned their complete catalogue to the new HTML5 standard with new releases being as well in the format. Being UK focused as a Paddy Power subsidiary, it was just natural that they acquired a licence from the UK Gambling Commission. They since added licences from other regulated markets.
The overall games portfolio exceeded 100 titles in 2015 with mainly exclusive Paddy Power and Betfair games. More recently, their slots have been launched outside the parent company, with Vera & John Casino and Videoslots being the first casino brands adding Cayetano Games to their listings.
Some of their most prominent slot titles are Wild Sheriff, Mr and Ms Diamonds, Jousting Wilds, Mississippi Queen and Wild Egypt. Ruby Walsh: Champion’s Gold is named after the famous Irish jockey and fields naturally a horse racing theme. A free spins round with three options for reel modifiers and of course a bonus game evolving around a horse race provide the excitement on the reels as well as a win potential of up to 1,000 time the stake. Trick ‘O’ Treat was released in October 2018 just in time for the yearly Halloween season. It is a video slot with five reels and 20 fixed pay lines with a witch spreading most of the treats. A pick-and-click bonus game will see her arrive on her broom to award coins wins of up to 500 times the stake, while a free spins round runs unlimited with more wilds being added to the reels the longer the free spins last.
