In 2017, a fresh new face entered the online gaming industry. Fantasma Games set-out from their location in Stockholm, Sweden to create the next generation slots. Fantasma Gaming has a dedicated team that brought a world of experience to the game studio with co-founders having previously worked for gaming giants LeoVegas and ComeOn. After lifting those groups to worldwide recognized brands with huge player bases, they set out to look for a different challenge from the other side of the industry. To join them on their journey, they managed to employ some of the best talent in slot design and software development that is so sought after in the fast-moving online gaming market.

Their efforts showed the first success when Leander Games approached them to host Fantasma slots on their LEGA platform. Microgaming’s Quickfire and Yggdrasil’s YGS Masters followed soon after, providing Fantasma Games with maximum exposure for their games.

Just a few months after their foundation, Fantasma Games released in June 2017 with Super Sumo their first video slot, featuring HD graphics in 3D and a cartoon-like Japanese theme from the world of sumo ringers. The game is in a 5×3 format with 25 fixed pay lines and can pay 500 times the stake on a single spin. The happy-face sumo ringer is the wild symbol, awarding the respin feature when minimum two land on the reels in one spin. The respins continue until now new wild symbols land on the reels, while wins are paid after each spin. Three super sumo scatters will award 10 free spins with the happy sumo wild being fully expanded and locked on reel three.
