All spins start with three reels as default and scoring a win with matching symbols present on all reels or hitting at least two scatters on reel three will trigger the Infinity Reels mechanic, adding one reel to the right. The new reel will spin once while the others are held to potentially land more matching symbols or scatters in which case the process is repeated, ad infinitum so to speak. It will only end when no new matching symbols land on the added reel that further improves the winning combo.

At the same time, a win multiplier is activated the soon one reel is added. It starts at x1 and increases by x1 for each further reel, again, ad infinitum in synch with the number of added reels. Once a spin sequence ends, wins are calculated by multiplying the total number of winning symbols in view with the symbol value from the paytable and then multiplied again by the achieved round multiplier. The game window will reset to the default 3×4 format before the start of the next spin sequence.

New on Royal Dragon Inifinity Reels is the Frenzy Spin, which can trigger randomly at the start of any spin in the base game. It will light up the grid and activate an x2, x3, x4 or x5 multiplier. Any win on the spin will be calculated as usual and then multiplied once more by the awarded multiplier. Royal Dragon Infinity Reels is a decent debut from GamesLab. They mixed and matched some of the mechanics and features we have seen to date on the previous Infinity Reels slots while also adding a new element to the gameplay. The only mystery remaining is the significantly lower max win at just 2,652x bet. It surely feels like it would have a lot more potential. Still, another very playable slot with the popular game engine that seems to be mainly aimed at our Asian gaming friends.
