Viking Wilds has three types of wild symbols, each appearing as an intricate icon with a different background colour. The standard and expanding wild can appear on reels two to five while the sticky wild can land on reel three only. Furthemore, they are awarding one key each for the bonus collection meter when they land on a spin and are substituting for all symbols.

Tumbling Symbols and Expanding Game Window

Any winning combination landing on a spin in the base game and free spins will explode, while the remaining symbols tumble down and new ones drop from the top into the empty spaces. This continues until now new wins hit after a fresh drop. Every tumble will increase the chance for wild symbols to appear on the reels, providing better chances to score more wins. Any sticky wild appearing in a spin sequence will remain on reel three until the end of the round.

One, three and five expanded reels will award 14, 16 and 18 free spins with an x2, x3 and x4 starting multiplier respectively. Any expanded reel is carried over to the free spins round.

During the feature, the multiplier will increase by x1 for each sticky or expanding wild landing on a free spin and for each reel that expands during the round. Final Verdict

Viking Wilds is the first foray from Iron Dog Studios into expanding game windows and multi-way slots. The result is quite remarkable. Although we have seen similar features on other games, we have not seen them combined into one slot. Time will tell if this game will elevate the relatively young developer into the Tier 1 of game providers.
