Travel to the Far East on the slot from Just For The Win, powered by Microgaming. Double Lucky Line will take you on a reel journey for an encounter with typical Chinese lucky charms that will spread fortunes worth up to 2,522 times your bet. Double symbols, random wilds and a free spins round with extra wilds will be your path to Asian riches.

Slot Details

Double Lucky Line is a video slot with five reels, three rows and oddly, 17 fixed pay lines. Wins are awarded for two to five matching symbols on a line from left to right. Your quest for Asian fortunes on desktop or mobile starts at 0.10 and peaks at 100 credits per spin. The game has medium volatility with an RTP of 96.02%.

Being polite folks, we will the appearance and graphics generic. In real terms, that means they are pretty poor. A dark-green background with a gold-ornamented game window is all you get. Yeah, there are some lucky coins thrown around but that elevates the design nowhere near to be attractive or original. Well, count the few lucky charms on the reels such as frogs or turtles and you might get the gist that this is supposed to be a game with a Chinese theme. Cue in the equally generic soundtrack and all you got is a pretty basic slot design.

The pay symbols start at the low end with the card royals from J through to A, awarding 0.8x your stake for a single five of a kind and 50x for a 10-of-a-kind. They are followed by blue turtles, green frogs and red dragons as well as the slot logo as the top payer. Hit five on a line to win 1x to 3x your stake while a 10OAK will pay 100x to 300x your bet.

The game has no less than three different wild symbols – regular, double and Money Tree lucky wilds – with the latter appearing in the free spins only. The pays for wild symbols are similar to the top symbol. All wilds will substitute for all regular pay symbols. A generic icon marked with the words “Free Spins” acts as the scatter.

Double Lucky Line Slot Features

If you ever played Tweet Hearts from Just For The Win, then skip right to the end as this creation is an exact clone, which is the norm for this game studio. For some reason, they release slots in doubles. Who knows what kind of strategy that is. We think it is pure laziness to design unique games.

The most common feature you will be coming across in your gameplay are the Double Symbols. All pay symbols, including wilds and scatters, can appear as single or double symbols, providing the potential to hit wins with up to 10 of a kind. In the base game, only the symbols on the middle row will appear as double symbols. For example, matching double symbols on the middle row on reel one and two will award the pay for a four of a kind.

Watch out for the Random Wilds feature as it can trigger at the start of any spin in the base game. The screen will darken before two to six wild symbols to random positions on the reels for the current spin. These can be single or double wild symbols.

Landing five scatters, which can be a combination of single and double scatters, will award 10 free spins. Any further scatter on the same spin will add +1 free spin to the tally with the maximum set at 25 free spins. During the feature, any Money Tree lucky wild symbol landing on the reels will also award +1 free spin.

The main twist though is that any position on row one or three where a Money Tree lucky wild symbol lands will turn into a double symbol for the remaining free spins, permanently increasing the number of symbols appearing on that pay line and making it easier to hit a 10 of a kind. The double positions are highlighted in blue.

Final Verdict

Well, not sure what to say about Double Lucky Line. The slot doesn’t excite in any way – not the graphics, not the animations, not the audio, not the gameplay, not the win potential. It is middle of the road in all aspects and on top a lazy clone of Tweet Hearts. Overall, not a game that will end on our favourites list, in fact, I am pretty convinced that I won’t ever try it for real money other than in a moment of madness.
