Founded in 2014 by industry veteran Roy Howell, Â Live 5 Gaming entered the iGaming market as an independent developer that produces its own games but also acts as a contractor for some of the bigger providers in the industry. SG Gaming, NYX, Leander Games and Core Gaming are just a few of the more prominent names who have employed the studio do design bespoke games. Based in Essington, UK, they have grown rapidly in the last years to become a major developer in the UK market.
Building on their previous work experience of their management team, Live 5 Gaming quickly established connections to some of the heavyweights in the UK market including Sky Vegas, Ladbrokes Coral, Mecca Bingo and Paddy Power Betfair. That led in 2015 to their slot debut at Sky Vegas Casino, launching the game at land based arcades and betting shops and at online casinos. The Sky’s The Limit was an instant hit with players, thanks to a high-quality design, novel pay mechanics and a top win potential of 250,000 coins.
This caught the attention of other big game providers leading to more collaborations with Blueprint Gaming, OpenBet and Inspired Gaming. On the casino operator side, they added LeoVegas, Videoslots and the Betsson Group to their clients list. Their focus, however, remained on quality over quantity as it took them until 2017 to release their second own slot creation, Stairway To Heaven, a video slot in a 5×3 format with 20 pay lines and a whole array of bonus features. At this point, the impression grew that the game studio is a big fan of traveling the world as their games seemed to focus on being up in the air.
The pace and frequency of game releases picked up since then and currently Live 5 Gaming is seen launching about five to eight new games every year. They also added more casino operators to their portfolio with Betsafe, Vera & John being among the most prominent brands.
The latest titles that proved popular with players on and offline are Magic Mystery Money, Out Of This World and Crank It Up. Due for release in late 2018 is Reach For The Stars with more to follow in early 2019 and beyond.
