Parrot’s Gold Slot Features

As to be expected from a pirate-themed slot, there is a lot happening on the reels. The game has three features that are each triggered by its own scatter symbol – Pearl Surprise Respins, Jackpot Picker bonus game and the Free Spins round.

Hitting minimum five pearls anywhere on the reels will trigger the Pearl Surprise Respins. The triggering pearls are held while three respins are awarded. Any further pearls landing will be held in place, resetting the counter to three. This continues until you fill the entire screen with pearls or you run out of respins. Each pearl is overlayed with a coin value. These will be added at the end to determine the total win from the respin feature.

Similarly, landing minimum five scatters in one spin will trigger the Free Spins feature. Each is marked with a number of free spins which will be added to determine the starting amount of free rounds. Up to 120 free spins can be won in one spin, which can be retriggered indefinitely. However, there is no multiplier or modifier active during the feature, they are simply free rounds. The other two features can be triggered on any free spin.

Final Verdict

Did we like our pirate adventure on Parrot’s Gold? Not entirely, but it was hilarious enough to see us return to the slot to play it for real money when it is released. The visuals and animations are impeccable, while the features hit often enough to avoid boredom. While I have some trouble to see how you could win up to 2,400 times your bet on this slot, I am sure it will be good for regular big wins in the 100x to 500x range.
