The mobile game studio, also known as Pocket Gaming Soft, stepped into the heavily contested ring of providers in 2015. With their head office in Valletta, Malta, they aim to serve not just regulated markets in Europe but also Asia and North America. Founded by entrepreneur Ken Zang, the studio set out to recruit the most talented experts and specialists in the industry, raising the number of staff from just a handful to currently over 200.
Zang specifically concentrated on creativity and hired some highly-skilled veterans from the television and movie industry, that would allow him to develop games with a mainstream appeal. He went even further and entered into collaboration agreements with the Oxford and Cambridge universities, seeing students and young graduates working on the maths models of the PG Soft games. The attention to detail continued with the hiring of acoustic engineers and music producers that produce distinct soundtracks for the games.
Emphasizing on operating in regulated markets only, PG Soft acquired licences from Gibraltar and the MGA Malta, making their slots available in a large number of countries. A licence from the UK Gambling Commission is in process as well. To better advance their global foot print, PG Soft signed distribution deals with platform providers Leander Games, Relax Gaming and Nektan. Early casino brands listing their games include Casumo, LeoVegas, ComeOn and Videoslots.
While focusing on mobile games, PG Soft is designing their games to be just as playable on any desktop device. All their slots follow a story line that is running like a red line throughout the entire game play.
As of late 2018, their games catalogue comprises some 20+ games, many with an Asian theme reflecting the origins of the company founder. The most popular titles include Medusa I & II, Fortune Gods, Prosperity Lion, Hotpot, Steampunk, Mr. Hallow-Win. The last creation in 2018 was Hip Hop Panda where a groovy panda bear becomes a hip-hop prodigy on a 3×3 reel set. With collapsing reals that carry on as long as a win is hit on a new cascade and a free spins round, it can produce wins of up to 572 time the stake on every spin.
