If defeated, you will lose one life and will get a free spin with the respective Victory Reward but no Compass multiplier. Win the battle and you will earn an extra life (up to 6 in total) and a free spin with the Pirate Victory Reward, which turns one random reel wild. Plus, the Compass multiplier is activated. Here’s what each of the three Privateer ships will award:

• British Victory Reward: All high-paying symbols are upgraded to treasure chest symbols
• Portuguese Victory Reward: All instances of one or two random symbols turn wild

Final Verdict

Well, what a reel adventure. While the base game does not have too much to offer other than the random multiplier, the bonus games (except the instant prize) are entertaining and can pack quite a punch. The best win potential is in the Treasure Hunt feature as all upgrades are kept for the remaining free spins. Overall, bounties worth up to 5,000 times your bet are up for grabs. Aaarrgh!
