Mad Cars Slot Preview by Push Gaming
Mad Cars is a video slot with five reels, six rows and 50 fixed pay lines. A Boost Reel sits on top where various prizes will appear on every spin. Wins are awarded for three to five matching symbols landing on a line from left to right only. You can join the crazy race on desktop, tablet or mobile from 0.10 to 100 credits per spin. The game has very high volatility with a default RTP of 96.39%. Alternative models at 95.36%, 94.44%, 90.32% and 88.49% are offered. Always check the help file for the current RTP setting.
A derelict industrial site with dilapidated vehicles on either side some time after the apocalyptic event serves as the fitting background for this nitro-filled reel madness. The main protagonists populate the reels, ready to jump into the next race at any time. The scenery changes to a night setting where the reels turn into racing tracks. An intense audio piece combined with car noises and explosive thumps provides the main sounds to the gameplay.
The pay symbols can appear fully stacked and start at the low end with split traffic cones, wrenches, steering wheels and a pair of green dice, awarding across the board 5x your bet for a single five of a kind. They are followed by some of the mad racers in green, blue, purple and red colours. Hit five on a line to win 20x to 100x your bet. There is no wild symbol but a variety of cars can land on the bottom row to award instant prizes or trigger the bonus game.

Mad Cars Slot Features
Push Gaming releases only about half a dozen slots every year but they are all masterpieces, be that for the visuals or the gameplay. With Fat Banker hitting online casino lobbies three months prior to Mad Cars we were eagerly awaiting to get a first look at this creation. Short previews promised an explosive slotting experience that mixes standard play with car racing. Let’s see if the end result is indeed the case.
At the core of the reel chaos are as expected the Mad Cars. In the base game, they can land on the bottom row of any reel on a spin, although maximum one per reel. Each will be marked with an initial bet multiplier – x1, x2, x5, x10, x25, x50 or x100. The aim is to race the prize car to the finish line at the other end of the grid and collect the displayed prize. Beware, it can take multiple spins and occasionally a lot of them to get a car to the other side.
Should you have more than one car on the reels, then only the prize on the first one crossing the line will be awarded while the others disappear on the next spin, except if one has been locked by a Survivor symbol. This is the moment where the Boost Reel will come into play. On every spin, Boost Symbols will randomly appear on top of each reel and having a car on the reel below will activate them.
- Blank: No value
- Gas Can: Displays a random number between 1 – 6 and advances the car on the reel below accordingly. Six are needed to reach the finish line.
- Multiplier Boost: Will reveal a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x and apply the factor to the bet multiplier on the prize car. For example, if the car had initially an x5 bet multiplier and a 10x is revealed, it would multiply the two numbers x5 x 10x = x50. The Boost can appear more than once in a race.
- Multiplier & Gas Combo: Awards both the Multiplier Boost and advances the car.
- Survivor Symbol: Keeps a car on the reels if another one reaches the finish line first. Once that happens, the car is unlocked again and advances as normal on the next spins. Not available in Free Spins.
Watch out for the red car marked with a blazing skull appearing on the bottom row. Advancing the scatter car to the finish line will trigger the Mad Bonus feature with 7 Free Spins and award a one-time payout of 10x your stake. The scenery will change to a night setting and the reels will turn into race tracks. One prize car with a random bet multiplier is placed at the bottom of each reel before the start of the Mad Race.
On every Free Spin, the Boost Reel will spin random boost symbols except the Survivor icon or blanks into view. In addition to Gas Symbols advancing the cars, Multiplier Boosts or Combo Symbols, another four extras can appear that will have the potential to not only increase your prizes but also get the cars faster over finish line.
- Line Up: All cars that are lower on the grid will be aligned on the row of the triggering car.
- Persistent Payer: Adds its own bet multiplier to all other cars after every spin until it reaches the finish line.
- Persistent Collector: Collects the bet multipliers from all other cars after every spin and adds the sum to its own until it crosses the finish line.
- Persistent Payer & Collector: First adds its own value to all other cars before collecting the new bet multipliers and adding them to its own after every spin until it reaches the other side.
Any time a car crosses the finish line, its bet multiplier value will be credited to the win counter on the left (desktop). A new car with another random prize value will then appear on the bottom row and +1 Free Spin will be awarded. The aim will be to keep having cars reaching the other side to avoid running out of Free Spins. The bonus game is rather volatile and it will be vital to hit some of the extra boosters for a chance to score a mega win. The feature ends instantly when you hit 25,000x your bet.
And there is a final surprise in this chaotic rush. The Mad Race Random Feature can trigger after the last free spins and hurtles all cars still on the grid beyond the finish line. All prize values on those cars are then added to the total win before you leave the racetrack and return to the base game.
A variety of Bonus Buy options are available for players residing in unrestricted jurisdictions. The cost starts at 115.70x your base bet for the standard Mad Bonus. You can also splash out 301x for a Payer Bonus that will guarantee a Persistent Payer Car from the start or 456x for a Collector Bonus with a guaranteed Persistent Collector Car.
The ultimate is the Mystery Mad Bonus option for a dizzying 624x your stake which will randomly select one of four features – Standard, Payer, Collector or Payer&Collector. A giant wheel will appear and will spin once to award one of the features with odds at 50/25/12.5/12.5 respectively. The RTP for the four Bonus Buy options ranges between 96.40% and 96.55%.
Final Verdict
Mad Cars is indeed what it says on the tin. While the base game has not many surprising moments except when an Instant Prize Car appears, the bonus feature where the cars are the main attraction is truly volatile and can turn into complete madness when the right Booster symbols appear. There is though one more saviour for the base game as a full screen of the red driver will yield an explosive 5,000x your stake. That might pale for some that will hit the max win at 25,000x. Vroooom!
