Review
Don your best explorer gear as you are about to travel to ancient Egypt on the slot from ReelPlay. Giza Infinity Reels is the second game featuring the developer’s trademarked engine that adds infinite reels on winning spins. Wild substitutions, a progressive multiplier, an extra jackpot pay and a free spins round with unlimited multipliers can lead to wins of up to 10,000 times your bet.
Slot Details
Giza Infinity Reels is a video slot with a 3×4 default format, featuring their proprietary game engine that keeps adding more reels to the game window as long as more winning symbols land (more to that shortly. Wins are awarded for minimum five matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost. Pays are calculated by multiplying the number of matching symbols with the attributed value for the symbol. For example, having five top symbols will pay 5 count x 0.5 symbol value = 2.5x the bet.
You can journey to ancient Egypt on desktop or mobile from 0.20 to 25 credits per spin. The game comes with a medium to high volatility and an RTP of 96.57%. Using the Buy Bonus feature (where available) increases the RTP value to 97.01%.
Loading the game will take you into the midst of ancient Egypt with the river Nile meandering through the dry and hot desert scenery. Column ruins flank the reels while the Great Pyramid can be seen in the distance. Four of the most prominent Egyptian gods dominate the reels while the obligatory scarab beetle appears as the scatter. A dreary, yet suspenseful soundtrack rounds of the slot design.

The pay symbols are undoubtedly linked to ancient Egypt, starting at the low end with a range of Egyptian artefacts – Shen rings, the Feather of Maat, Crook and Flail, Ankh crosses, Lotus flowers and the Eye of Ra. A single symbol is valued between 0.05x to 0.1x your bet with a minimum of five needed for a win. They are followed by Egyptian deities – Horus the Falcon God, Maahes the Lion God, Sobek the Alligator God and Anubis the Jackal God. The value per symbols increases to 0.15x to 0.4x your stake.
The fabled scarab is the wild symbol, appearing on any reel bar the first one and substituting for all regular symbols. An icon with the Great Pyramid serves as the scatter, paying 0.4x your stake per scatter when minimum five land on a spin.
Giza Infinity Reels Slot Features
Instead of going for a complete redesign, ReelPlay decided to take the evolutionary road on its sequel to El Dorado Infinity Reels, the second slot to feature their proprietary game engine. They kept most of the features and added sufficiently new elements to let Giza Infinity Reels stand on its own.
Core to the gameplay is still the Infinity Reels mechanic, that will add reels on the right of the game window without limits. All spins start with three reels as default and scoring a win with matching symbols present on all reels or hitting at least two scatters on reel three will see one reel being added to the right. The new reel will spin once while the others are held to potentially land more matching symbols or scatters in which case the process is repeated, ad infinitum so to speak. It will only end when no new matching symbols land on the added reel that further improves the winning combo.
Simultaneously, a win multiplier is activated the soon one reel is added. It starts at x1 and increases by x1 for each further reel, again, ad infinitum in synch with the number of added reels. Once a spin sequence ends, wins are calculated by multiplying the total number of winning symbols in view with the symbol value from the paytable and then multiplied again by the achieved round multiplier. The game window will reset to the default 3×4 format before the start of the next spin sequence.
ReelPlay did well in keeping the final twist for a spin sequence that will have a significant impact on your potential winnings. Adding 12 reels within one sequence will trigger a jackpot pay of 888x your total bet. However, it will not be multiplied by the round multiplier.
Hitting five or more pyramid scatters within a single spin sequence will trigger 10 Free Spins, which cannot be retriggered as such but landing again five or more scatters will award +4 Free Spins, ad infinitum. The kicker in the free spins is the progressive multiplier. The value from the triggering spin will be your starting win multiplier that will increase in steps of minimum x1 up to x5 for every reel added on a winning spin. A small display to the left shows the current increment value. It will rise to x2, x3, x4 and x5 on consecutive winning free spins and will decrease by one level after a losing spin. For example, at +2 the win multiplier will increase by x2 for each added reel on a winning free spin. There is no limit as to how high the win multiplier can go and it will reset only once the feature concludes.
And there is an extra kicker for slotting nerds looking for more suspenseful moments. Using the Gamble feature, you can risk you Free Spins winnings and gamble them repeatedly up to 5x the original amount initially won in the round. A pie-wheel will appear, displaying the real odds of winning th gamble. You will never lose your entire winning as landing on red will still award between 0.5x and 1x your Free Spins winnings. You can opt to collect at any time.
Anyone wanting to cut through the chase and enter instantly the Free Spins feature, there is a Buy Bonus button. It will cost you 75x your default bet and start a spin that is guaranteed to land at least five scatters that will trigger a bonus round with the usual 10 Free Spins. Beware though, the feature is quite volatile and using the Buy Bonus option repeatedly could deplete your balance rapidly.
Final Verdict
As mentioned earlier, Giza Infinity Reels is rather an evolution than a revolution from the debut slot featuring the new game engine. The visuals have been significantly improved and so has the maximum win potential that is now 10,000 times your bet. The changes to the gameplay and features distinguish it sufficiently from El Dorado Infinity Reels to make it a real alternative for anyone who likes the reel mechanic.
