The Relax Gaming Group was founded in 2010 by two iGaming veterans – Patrik Österåker and Jani Tekoniemi – with the vision of pushing the boundaries of gambling by modern and innovative technology. Since its establishment, Relax has broadened its offering into different product verticals making it one of the major suppliers in Europe. Relax holds licenses in several European jurisdictions in order to ensure a wide market coverage for its customers and products. Being present in regulated markets is a key strategy for Relax, and the licenses held include for example the UK, Romania and Denmark.

Relax Gaming operates multiple products purely as a B2B platform supplier within online gambling. The product portfolio currently includes poker, bingo and casino. Within its casino vertical, Relax runs inhouse game development as well as offers selected game studios access to its distribution network through the Silver Bullet platform. Relax closely follows the industry trends and ensures it rides the best waves of innovation and technology.

Committed to achieving sustainability and growth through responsible gambling, Relax Gaming acquired licenses from the UK Gambling Commission, the MGA Malta and the Romania ONJN. With that regional operations are ensured by a compliant, local presence and a supportive approach to regulation.

In 2018, Relax Gaming decided to enter the highly competitive market for casino games, adding a crucial vertical to their operations. The effort came to fruition in December 2018 when they released their first-ever slot called Erik The Red, a Norse-themed 5×4 game with 20 pay lines as well as random and bonus features. Around the same time, they signed a licensing agreement with Big Time Gaming for the highly popular Megaways game engine that saw the release of Temple Tumble Megaways in February 2019, which became an instant hit with casino players.

The first foray into branded slots came in 2019 with the release of Let’s Get Ready To Rumble and It’s Time, featuring the iconic sports commentators Michael and Bruce Buffer. More branded games are expected to follow after the success of the two slots. The same year saw Relax expanding its Tumble reel mechanic and turning it into a series of exhilarating slots such as Tower Tumble and TNT Tumble. However, the most accolades to date have gone to a highly volatile slot called Money Train, a Wild West-themed game with an utterly suspenseful bonus round that can deliver wins of up to 20,000 times your bet.

We expect to see more coming from Relax Gaming as they expand their footprint with their Silver Bullet platform where an increasing number of smaller studios sign up as well as from their in-house studio.
