Review
Enter a futuristic factory on the slot from Yggdrasil Gaming where wild robos are being put to hard work by evil AI robots. A not so impossible outlook into the future of production facilities as robots are increasingly replacing human manpower. A flurry of bonus and random features including symbol swaps, Wild Robo respins and Robo Free Spins can lead to wins of up to 2,878 times your bet.
Slot Details
Wild Robo Factory is a video slot with five reels, four rows and 25 fixed pay lines. Wins are awarded for three to five matching symbols from left to right only. Enter the futuristic factory on desktop or mobile from 0.05 to 125 credits per spin. The RTP of this medium to high variance game is set t 96.40%.
Visually, you will be taken to the factory of a distant or maybe not even that distant future. Evil robots are the bosses on the factory floor exploiting their subordinate robots and pushing them into working around the clock. They roll in on a conveyor belt at the bottom of the game window and perform their duties as they move along. A slightly creepy soundtrack makes for a dim outlook into what we can expect in a future factory.
The pay symbols are divided into two batches with matching background colours, which will play a significant role in one of the features. At the low end are the card suits – hearts with an orange background, clubs with a purple background, spades with a blue background and diamonds with a green background – each paying 2x your bet for a five of a kind. They are followed by four robot parts – hooks, hands, torsos and heads in respective matching colours. Hit five on a line to win 4.8x to 15x your stake. Wilds appear on the conveyor belt only and will perform the usual substitutions duties, more to that in the next paragraph. Pays for a 5OAK are the same as for the top symbol. Free spin scatters can land on the reels and will trigger the Robo Free Spins when minimum three lands on a spin.
Wild Robo Factory Slot Features
There’s quite a lot to get through, so buckle up for a tour of the robo factory to see what’s in store that will help you score those monster wins of up to 2878 times your bet. We’ll start off with the random Symbol Swap feature which can trigger at any time in the base game as well as during the respin and free spin features. The matching colours come now into play. One low-value symbol will be swapped for their colour-matching high-value counterpart if it will lead to a winning combo. On a lucky spin, it can get you a full screen with a premium symbol.
Next, is a whole bunch of different Robo Wilds. They will appear randomly on the conveyor belt in 1×1, 1×2, 1×3 or 1×4 sizes as well as double-reel wide in 2×1, 2×2, 2×3 and 2×4 formats to substitute for all regular symbols and complete winning combinations. There are four variations: regular wild, multi-reel wild, pattern wild and x2 multiplier wild. The pattern wild is a set of four wilds assembled in an irregular pattern.
The random Robo Respin feature can trigger in the base game, putting the Robo Wilds into play by placing at least one on the conveyor belt on reel three, four or five. They will move to the left by one reel on each respin, ending the feature when they reach reel one. However, more Robo Wilds can appear during the respins, further extending the feature. It concludes when no further robots are in view.
A Robo Wild can also jump onto the reels to turn into a Robo scatter. It will move by one reel on each respin just like the standard Robo Wilds and increase the chance to trigger the bonus round.
It gets all a lot wilder when you hit minimum three Robo scatters in one spin, which will trigger the Robo Free Spins feature. The round doesn’t have a limited number of free spins, instead, you are getting a number of Robos based on the amount of triggering scatters.
- 3 scatters will award 5 Robo Wilds
- 4 scatters will award 10 Robo Wilds
- 5 scatters will award 15 Robo Wilds
The Robo Wilds are placed onto the conveyor spaced by one to three spots, thus extending the round. For example, a trigger with five robos will give you minimum 5 and maximum 15 free spins as default. The bonus round is played in the same manner as the Robo Respin feature with the Robos moving by one reel to left on each spin.
But that’s not all as even in a fully automated futuristic factory things can go wrong or break down. The System Overload feature can trigger randomly on any spin during the feature, reversing the conveyor belt and moving the Robos backwards by one to nine spots. The round finally ends when all Robos reached reel one.
Final Verdict
Got that all? Rest easy as it looks far more complicated than it actually is. It will all become clear once you have seen the features play out a few times. The slot is highly entertaining with something happening frequently enough to keep you in suspense. The maximum win can only be hit in the free spins with 15 robots and a couple of overload triggers. While that won’t be an easy feat, I think the slot is good for regular 200 – 500x bet wins.
