On 3rd May 2022, the iconic Microgaming completed the sale of its content and distribution arm, with access to an established network of customers serving over 900 global brands, to the newly established Games Global Ltd.
The two companies seek out new industry paths as Microgaming will steer its efforts on developing its platform systems and services, currently serving some of the biggest brands in gaming, strengthened by a new deal with Games Global. The household industry name will continue to operate its proprietary sports betting software for Betway and build its technological advancement through investment.
2021 established Games Global Ltd is a private company led by CEO Walter Bugno, aiming to become the chosen provider in iGaming for online casinos and players. Microgaming’s distribution business, game IP and progressive jackpot network, plus interest in numerous studio partners, add to the starting catalogue of 3,000 games and jackpot titles of Games Global, serving more than 980 casino brands.
