The pay symbols start at the low end with gems in turquoise, purple, blue, pink and green colours, awarding 1x to 1.5x your stake for a single five of a kind. They are followed by saber wolves and bears at the medium level, paying 2.5x your bet when five land across the reels. While classified as a low-volatility game, it has ample feature to look forward. There are three that will grab your attention – Owl Respin feature in regular play, the Night Owl feature available in the Token shop and the three progressive jackpots.

The Owl Respin feature is triggered when you land at least one golden owl mask scatter in one spin. One, two or three scatters will award 2, 4 and 12 respins respectively. The triggering owl masks will now turn into roaming wilds, shifting to a random position on every respin except to reel one. You will also collect +2 respins every time a glowing feather symbol lands on reel three. The feature ends when you run out of respins.

• 1,500 tokens:  Gets you three respins with two golden owl masks as roaming wilds on the reels, each appearing in a 2-symbol high stack. Again, the wilds stay on the reels and shift on each respin. A feather appearing will result in +4 respins, no limits.

Last but not least, and for some players the most important part, are the three progressive Kingdoms Rise jackpots. These are localized jackpots specific to a single casino or all brands of a casino group. A percentage of 0.99% of each bet contributes to the three jackpots. They can trigger randomly after any spin with the chances of winning one being directly relative to your bet size.

Final Verdict

Well, it looks like Playtech has created a winner with the Kingdoms Rise series. They look really good and have ample features to keep players entertained while they chase the progressive jackpots, with the largest one expected to trigger on medium to high 5-figure sums.
